Wrong for NY: Minimum Wage Reality Check Releases New Ad – negative impacts on small businesses, family farms, taxpayers and consumers.

Minimum Wage Reality Check Releases New Ad

Last week, the Minimum Wage Reality Check coalition released a new 30-second ad, which can be viewed here. It details the negative impacts that a $15 per hour minimum wage would have on small businesses, family farms, taxpayers and consumers.

The focus on lawmakers on raising the state’s minimum wage fails to consider why people have low-wage jobs — because they lack the skills and education that better wage jobs demand. We should be focused improving the state’s economy and on providing these workers with the training they need to need to qualify for better job opportunities.
