NYS Supreme Court Candidates for the 8th District: Elect these 3; Marshall, Wojtaszek, Slisz.

If you are a voter in the NYS Supreme Court 8th Judicial District which encompasses Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties, there are 5 Justice seats up for election.

We are strongly advocating and endorsing the following 3 candidates of the 8 that appear on the ballot:

Re-elect Justice Frederick Marshall, (R, C, I) – Highly Qualified, Highly Rated http://www.judgemarshall.com/

Elect Paul B. Wojtaszek, (R, C, I, D) – Highly Qualified, Supreme Court Principal Law Clerk to Justice Russell P. Buscaglia

Elect Mary L. Slisz, (Independent) – Qualified / Highly Qualified http://maryslisz.com/

As for the other 2 seats, we will be casting write in votes [although if we had to, we would also vote for Donna Siwek (R) and Jeanette Ogden (D)]. For one we will not support any candidate running on the WFP line, and we outright object to the politicized horse trading that went on with the endorsements/cross endorsements of Dennis Ward. Mr Ward is a partisan Democrat and a purely establishment reward choice going to the least qualified and least deserving of all the candidates as far as we are concerned.

Consider this quote: “G. Steven Pigeon, a former chairman of Erie County Democrats who holds the current leadership in low regard said he is especially upset with the cross-endorsement of Ward, a longtime political rival whom he called “the hack of hacks … an ego-driven man who has shown no judicial qualities.”

Cross-endorsements complicate the politics of picking a judgeHighest-rated, most qualified, and the most respected candidate (Marshall) snubbed by party bosses
